From April 15 to 18, visit us at Chinaplas! Stop by booth F71 in Hall 5.2: our team is ready to help you find the perfect hot runner solution for your needs.
Designed for the MULTIflow HRS® multi-cavity line, the advanced EYEgate HRS end ring ensures superior gate quality and a longer lifespan—perfect for industries such as beauty and personal care, beverages, home products, and medical applications.
With a compact Ø3.0 to Ø3.5 mm diameter, it enables precise injection point positioning, even in complex geometries and hard-to-reach gate locations. A specialized pin guide system ensures permanent pin-gate alignment, significantly extending durability. Suitable for applications up to 20 g, EYEgate HRS is available for both Sp and Tp nozzle series.
The EYEgate HRS features an integrated gate design, which simplifies the moldmaking by eliminating the need for additional gate machining, ultimately streamlining production. Additionally, maintenance is quick and efficient—when the gate becomes worn, the end ring can be replaced without the need to re-machine the cavity insert, significantly reducing downtime and costs. The EYEgate HRS is also highly versatile, being compatible with a wide range of materials, including PC, PMMA, PP, PE, ABS, MABS, ASA, SMMA, SAN, thermoplastic elastomers, and most sustainable resins.
Additionally, the streamlined inner profile enhances color change performance by maintaining a continuous material flow, minimizing stagnation points, and ensuring efficient production in applications requiring frequent color changes.
The new hot runner line, engineered for technical polymers and electronic applications, features advanced solutions like innovative end rings that enhance wear resistance, reduce material degradation, and increase flexibility.
The new end rings offer enhanced wear and corrosion resistance, making them ideal for processing PA6, PA66, PBT, POM, PPA, and PPS filled with carbon or glass fibers to improve mechanical properties. Unlike conventional end rings that experience premature wear due to these abrasive reinforcements, these new solutions designed for the MULTIflow HRS® line provides a more durable alternative, significantly extending the service life of hot runner components through the use of highly resistant materials.
The robust design of the new external end rings for Oerlikon HRSflow’s Tp/Vp nozzle series enables lower melt temperatures when restarting after shutdowns or interruptions. This feature minimizes the risk of thermal degradation, particularly in temperature-sensitive and flame-retardant materials, which can release corrosive gases during processing. Additionally, the smaller injection point, achieved through a reduced end ring diameter, enhances precision and flexibility, ensuring uniform cavity filling—a crucial advantage for applications demanding both mechanical strength and high optical quality at the injection site.
The TTC end ring, specifically designed for the Tp nozzle series, further optimizes processing conditions with its wide operating window and uniform temperature distribution near the gate. This facilitates efficient restarts at lower temperatures, preventing material degradation. A 4 mm reduction in bushing diameter increases injection point flexibility, streamlining both production and maintenance. The result? Shorter setup times, lower labor costs, and improved overall productivity.
